Your role

Lloyds Bank is looking to hire a Lead Marketing and Communications! The purpose of this role is to lead the Marketing Communications Team by shaping and executing the marketing and communications strategy for our three business lines (Mortgages, Savings and Lending) and channels. You will work in close cooperation with the Head of Marketing & Business Development and supporting the team as a direct line manager. The Manager Marketing Communications uses insight and expertise to develop and deliver marketing initiatives through managing the team of professionals and operates as a subject matter expert. In this role you will play a crucial part in the growth ambitions of our organisation. This role is within the Marketing & Business Development department, which together have a large contribution towards the growth and positioning of the bank in NL.

The team

The team currently exists of Marketing & Communication specialists who cooperate closely on various topics, but each have their own focus area, eg. customer communications, internal communications, or campaign management. Next to that we have a Digital Marketeer focussing on our online marketing activities and website development. Considering the growth ambitions the team is likely to grow further in the coming years.

Your accountabilities

  • To develop and execute the marketing plan to reach strategic organisational goals within the marketing budget. You will ensure the marketing budget is spent efficiently, undertaking post-campaign analysis to gain insights for optimisation and understanding the results of the marketing plan.
  • Effective marketing and communications planning and management for the whole marketing team, ensuring key strategic goals and deadlines are met.
  • Lead and manage a high performing team, developing colleagues through stretching performance objectives, feedback, and coaching. Responsible for personal development plans, recruitment, planning and day-to-day management of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Act as a source of professional expertise to shape and deliver marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver marketing initiatives based on customer and market insights, considering the wider business and regulatory context.
  • Responsible for adequate brand management and high quality of marketing communications. You will work closely with the compliance department to ensure all marketing material is on-brand, compliant and effective.
  • Ensure that website development is aligned with objectives and key results and support the demand for a high level of customer focus.
  • Managing digital marketing including understanding and utilising Google Analytics, external digital campaigns, social media advertising, SEO, email marketing and digital development projects undertaken by external agencies. You will also manage Lloyds Bank NL’s LinkedIn, and potentially other socials, creating a content management plan with the Team, and ensuring compliance, engagement, and growth across all platforms.
  • Responsible for internal communications and supporting other functions within the organisation in planning and creating internal communications.
  • Develop and deliver our Employer Branding strategy in close cooperation with the HR team to ensure the bank is positioned as a desirable place to work, attracting, engaging, and retaining top talent.
  • Stakeholder engagement working with in – and external partners to secure marketing opportunities and be aware of opportunities to the target market.

Capabilities and skills
  • Experienced in managing a Marketing Communciations Team, providing regular feedback, helping with development, and training, be involved with recruitment when needed, and ensuring that collectively the marketing plan is completed to a high standard.

  • You are a self-starter and take the initiative to meet the strategic goals and involve your team. You will be an integral part of the Markteign & Business development department helping with the exciting growth plans for the business and be expected to drive initiatives independently.
  • You will be expected to effectively manage many different tasks, initatives, and people simultaneously.
  • You are resultdriven. You monitor the results of marketing campaigns to analyse effectiveness and optimise future campaigns as a result. You will be utilising the marketing budget to get the best results possible using the resources you have.
  • You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, being aware of your target audience and being able to tailor your communications accordingly. You are a Dutch native speaker and a professional … level of the English language.
  • You are strategic and think ahead. You understand the business strategy and create plans accordingly to achieve it. You anticipate trends and proactively adapt strategies when necessary.
Qualifications
Degree in marketing, communications, or related field. 
Experience and Knowledge
  • Proven experience in marketing communications roles (ideally a minimum of 5 -10 years).
  • Strong management and organisational skills. Proven experience as a team lead.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working within banking/ financial services would be beneficial but not required
