Data Automation Analyst

For the Risk & Compliance department, we are looking for a Data & Automation Analyst.
In this role, you’ll combine data analysis with process automation to strengthen our control environment and support smarter decision-making. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify risks, improve processes, and implement innovative solutions.

The Team
You’ll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking Risk & Compliance team that values curiosity, precision, and innovation. We work closely with colleagues across the bank to ensure our operations are safe, efficient, and compliant. Our team is small but impactful, and we’re always looking for new ways to improve how we work.

A Day in the Life of a Data Automation Analyst

08:45 – Data Deep Dive
You start your day by reviewing dashboards and performance metrics. You spot a trend in operational errors and flag it for further analysis.

10:00 – Risk Insights
You meet with the Compliance team to share findings from a recent data audit. Your insights help shape a new control strategy.

11:30 – Automation in Action
You work on designing a new automated workflow to streamline a manual reporting process. You test it with the Operations team and gather feedback.

13:00 – Lunch & Learn
You join a virtual session on emerging automation tools in financial services. It’s a great way to stay ahead of the curve.

14:00 – Cross-Team Collaboration
You participate in a project meeting with IT and Risk to integrate a new control system. You help translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications.

16:00 – Monitoring & Optimization
You review the performance of existing automated controls and identify areas for improvement. You tweak a few parameters to reduce false positives.

17:30 – Wrap-Up
You document your findings and prepare a short report for tomorrow’s team meeting. You leave with the satisfaction of knowing your work is making a real impact.

Your accountabilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Design and implement automated workflows to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Control Systems: Develop and maintain automated control systems to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and risk reduction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate automation and data insights into daily operations.

Who are you and what do we ask from you?

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in data analysis or a similar role within financial services or consultancy. Experience in risk management, compliance, or audit function is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with process automation tools and control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch or German is a plus).
