A day in the life of a Financial Controller

After your morning coffee (or indeed tea) you join the daily team huddle and discuss latest progress on the ongoing activities, exchanging insights and challenges. Mid-morning, you join a business planning meeting to challenge assumptions and provide financial input on a new product proposal.

You grab lunch with a group of colleagues, where you learn about the latest developments from other areas that could affect our lending products or processes – maybe something to discuss with the key stakeholders?

After lunch you get you work on updating the quarterly or monthly forecast, ensuring alignment with strategic targets and regulatory requirements.

Later, you analyse stress test results and attend a meeting with team members to discuss and prepare a concise summary for senior management.

You finish the day by collaborating with colleagues on improving financial models and planning for upcoming month-end or forecasting cycles.
