Your role

We are seeking a Strategy Manager to support the ongoing development of our business strategy and digital product portfolio. In this pivotal role, you will help to define and influence the organization’s long-term strategic direction and priorities, working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. You will also support the implementation of key strategic projects, applying rigorous data analysis and critical reasoning to inform decision-making and deliver impactful results across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

Business Strategy

  • Support and advise the Head of Strategy in the ongoing development of the business strategy and digital product portfolio.

  • Play a pivotal role in defining and influencing the organization’s long-term strategic direction and priorities.

  • Contribute to review and control activities throughout the strategic planning process, as well as proactively identifying and recommending process improvements.

Strategic Initiatives and Growth Projects

  • Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of high-quality presentations and documentation for the Executive Board and senior stakeholders.

  • Independently conduct and present market, competitor, and trend analyses with the ability to analyse data, draw strategic insights, and communicate findings effectively.

  • Develop business cases (including financials) for new products and product enhancements.

  • Collaborate directly with various departments, particularly Finance, Marketing, IT, and Risk.

  • Participate in implementation projects

Key Capabilities

Experience & Knowledge

  • Previous experience within Strategy, Consulting or the Banking sector. Very good understanding of banking products required

  • Strong understanding of a bank’s balance sheet, P&L, and the key drivers of costs and revenues.

  • Affinity for new technological developments in the financial services sector

  • Proven expertise in applying strategic analysis methods to inform decision making

Qualifications

Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Finance.

Skills & Capabilities

 

  • Structured, methodical way of working

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with various types of stakeholders

  • Advanced handling of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German or Dutch is a strong plus
