Your role
As a Test Analyst, you play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the products and change initiatives delivered by the Delivery Teams. You collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, external suppliers and other stakeholders. Your goal? To ensure that requirements and acceptance criteria are crystal clear, traceable, testable, and ultimately result in high‑quality solutions for our customers.
You drive the testing process end‑to‑end: from analysis and test design to execution, reporting, and defect management. You challenge assumptions, spot gaps before they become problems, and bring a continuous improvement mindset to every sprint.
A day in the life of a Test Analyst
You start your day by joining the Daily Scrum with a Delivery Team. Together, you discuss progress, dependencies, and risks that might impact the sprint. You then deep‑dive into newly refined user stories, ensuring requirements and acceptance criteria meet Lloyds Bank’s standards for clarity and testability.
Mid‑morning, you collaborate with the Business Analyst to translate business needs into testable scenarios. In the afternoon, you execute your functional, regression, or exploratory tests, gathering evidence, logging defects, and working with developers to triage and validate fixes.
You close the day by updating test progress in Jira/Xray, supporting a supplier integration meeting, or contributing to a retrospective. Whether analysing edge cases, improving test frameworks, or sharpening our quality processes, your work directly shapes the reliability of our products.
Every day is different. And every day, you ensure that what we deliver works, exactly as intended.
